Arrival in Umbria and accommodation in your agriturismo in the Assisi area. Welcome drink. Free time to visit the surroundings of Assisi and typical dinner in your agritourism to start discovering the flavours of Umbria
Urban trekking in Assisi with your expert guide to discover the most evocative and least explored corners that make Assisi truly unique. Visit the splendid basilica dedicated to St Francis, which houses frescoes by Giotto and his school, and the Hermitage on Mount Subasio, where the Saint used to retire in prayer. Assisi is protected by Unesco for its great historical and cultural value, a treasure chest of immense artistic value. Time at leisure to enjoy the splendid medieval views offered by the town and the panorama of the Umbrian Valley . In the afternoon, return to the agriturismo for a fun lesson in traditional Umbrian cuisine. Dinner with handmade pasta and local tupic bread, baked under the ashes, Torta al Testo.
Today's day will be dedicated to a fun tour to discover the wine cellars along the Sagrantino wine road in and around Montefalco. Lunch is planned in one of the area's most traditional wine cellars to fully enjoy the aromas and flavours of this splendid corner of Umbria. Lunch will be a fun picnic with typical products and wine. In the afternoon, time at leisure to discover the Montefalco area, which offers fantastic views over the entire valley. The wine capital of Umbria, Montefalco is also called the terrace of Umbria. Nearby Bevagna is also well worth a stop to discover the Renaissance atmosphere and its typical workshops where paper, candles, etc. are still made according to tradition.
