Un Castello all’Orizzonte 2026

Castello di Postignano, a hamlet in the municipality of Sellano, hosts from 26 April to 1 November 2026 the fourteenth edition of A Castle on the Horizon, a cultural festival bringing together music, photography, art, literature and cinema.

The programme features 37 events. The highlight is the Postignano Music Festival, held over the weekends of 4–6 and 11–13 September, with six concerts and four round tables at the Church of SS. Annunziata. Under the artistic direction of Luigi Piovano, the festival spans repertoires ranging from Scarlatti to Piazzolla, with the participation of ensembles and soloists including the Henao Quartet, the Accademia Saxophone Quartet and the Ensemble Barocco di Napoli.

The season also includes concerts of classical music, opera, jazz and folk, featuring soprano Samantha Sapienza and tenor Alessandro Zucchetti (25 July), the Luttazzi Legacy Trio (1 August) and pianist Gianluca Luisi (26 September). From 16 May, the photography exhibition Corpi in Relazione by Luciano Ferrara, curated by Arianna Catania, will be on display alongside permanent exhibitions by Mimmo Jodice, Norman Carver Jr. and Gennaro Matacena.

The calendar is completed by book presentations, documentary screenings — including Mario Martone's tribute to Mimmo Jodice, winner of the Nastro d'Argento 2024 — and the conference Vivere il Borgo (19 September), in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair at Unitelma Sapienza.

Admission is free, subject to availability.
