During the visits, we will accompany you on a discovery of animal species linked to agricultural ecosystems, including those which, by offering their services, make it possible to limit the use of insecticides and pesticides. Shelters for beneficial insects, nest boxes for insectivorous birds and birds of prey as well as bats alternate with small cultivations to form a large vegetable garden in which the 'guests' become valuable allies.
Particular attention has been paid to the choice of some of the animal breeds housed at the farm: the Valnerina goat, the Livornese breed of hens, all breeds that were once present in the farmyard but which today have been replaced by more productive breeds with the risk that they will be permanently lost.
Among the breeds that are the subject of recovery projects are also Sardinian donkeys, which will accompany you on visits to the olive grove, pastures and woodland, to get a closer look at the biodiversity that can be found in traditional agricultural ecosystems.
