In the vineyard where everything takes shape, because wine is the expression of a territory, which blends a combination of factors such as soil, climate, geographical position and manual skill in production. The latter is the result of experience and know-how, which together with a pinch of imagination, allow us to express ourselves like no other.
Our story began when my grandfather Domenico called me and said: "Come Claudio, the time has come to help me make wine!"
It was an unforgettable day for me and I learnt more that evening than in all those years as a winemaker, I was just over 14 years old and it was way back in 1970.14 more years passed from there and in 1984 I bought, together with my wife Lorella and my parents Francesco and Natalia, some land in this wonderful valley, a few kilometres from Spoleto, protected by the Martani Mountains and with the Sibillini Mountains in the background. Not only land but also a former mill from the 1600s which, after a long and arduous renovation, became our Agriturismo "Il Molino Antico" where the cellar for the ageing of our first bottles found its place.
Passion and determination accompanied us right from the start of this adventure. We wanted to see the results of that work in the vineyard and when we made our first wine in 2005, satisfaction filled our hearts and so we decided to bottle our efforts, thus creating our first bottles of Soviano Regale (Sangiovese Grosso) and Cruor Nobile (Sagrantino and Merlot grapes), two important reds, an expression of our roots and our land.
