A empresa
Umbertide, like the whole of Umbria, has an ancient tradition of wine-growing (the Etruscans inhabited this territory and, as wherever they lived, wine-growing was one of the pivotal activities of their society), yet there is no real historicity with respect to the use of indigenous grape varieties other than the best known in Umbria.This is why the Blasi family has decided to plant some native Umbrian vines of established quality such as Trebbiano Spoletino, Grechetto and Sangrantino, but also to focus on the international vines best suited to the microclimate and soils of their company: from Merlot to Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, from Chardonnay to Sauvignon blanc. The choice is one of quality without stereotypes, which today wants a viticulture that necessarily goes in search of native grape varieties, whether they are excellent or insignificant.

Processo produtivo

Vinification

Every year, the grapes are harvested, taking into account all the chemical and tasting parameters of the berries in order to bring the grapes to the cellar at their best moment. Here, soft presses and stainless steel tanks are the important tools for vinification. The tanks are thermo-conditioned and variable in size because all the grapes are harvested and vinified separately.

Cooperage

In the various rooms of the old cellar located in the basement of Palazzo Bertanzi are French oak barrels of varying sizes from 35 to 50 Hl. Some barriques are used for partial ageing of the 'Impronta' wine, others for ageing of the 'Mammamia' raisin wine, which rests there for 10 years before reaching the desired quality.

A temperature-controlled warehouse is used for bottle ageing, which, depending on the wine, can range from a minimum of 3 months up to 12 for the most important reds and passito.

Syrah

Elegant, refined and innovative, our SYRAH is an intense red wine from the Umbertide area in the green Umbrian hills. It matures for 18 months in large French oak barrels, developing aromas of ripe black fruit and oriental spices. Perfect for long aperitifs and dinners with friends.

Merlot

Our MERLOT 100% is an intense red wine from the Umbertide area in the province of Perugia. It matures for 12 months in large French oak barrels, developing aromas of ripe red fruit. On the palate it is warm, soft and enveloping. Perfect for long aperitifs and dinners with friends.

Impronta Rosso I.G.T.

Bright ruby red with dense texture. On the nose it announces itself with aromas of ripe red fruit, currants and blackberries, dark flowers and undergrowth, continuing with spicy and balsamic notes, giving the palate a fresh, savoury trail that complements the pleasant tannin.

Blasi Rosso – Cabernet Franc

Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine opens on the nose with intense notes of ripe black fruit and balsamic sensations with nuances of chocolate. The palate is rich and enveloping, with important tannins enhanced by medium ageing in wood. An extremely versatile wine due to its excellent structure and complexity.

Mamma Mia Passito I.G.T.

Liquid amber in the glass. Complex, intense and persistent nose with hints of honey and dried fruit, fig and date with puffs of saffron and iodine notes. The warm, sweet entry into the mouth orchestrates with freshness in a sensory interplay.

Grechetto

A pleasant, harmonious and fresh white wine made from 100% Grenache grapes from the Umbertide area in the province of Perugia. From the grapes of the vine of the same name comes this white wine characterised by hints of white pulp fruit and an important citrus acidity. Perfect for long aperitifs and dinners with friends.

Chardonnay + Sauvignon

Fresh and young like the winery, we propose our interpretation of the 50% CHARDONNAY and 50% SAUVIGNON blend from the green hills of Umbertide. From the grapes of the vines of the same name, comes this white wine with a pleasant bouquet and a full, round, full-bodied flavour. Perfect for aperitifs and dinners with friends.

Blasi Bianco – Sauvignon Blanc

Made from 100 % Sauvignon Blanc grapes, this wine opens on the nose with fresh notes of yellow peach and citrus sensations, followed by a fresh, young, vibrant palate with good flavour. An extremely versatile wine due to its excellent structure and complexity.

Blasi Bianco – Chardonnay

Straw yellow with golden hues, beautifully luminous. The nose captivates us with its intriguing complexity, a citrusy bouquet reminiscent of grapefruit and lime, golden apple and pineapple followed by a blooming broom, aromatic herbs and puffs of acacia honey, vanilla notes and a pleasant mineral trail in the finish. The palate is rich and enveloping with excellent freshness well balanced by savouriness. Long, tasty and satisfying citrus epilogue.

1742 Spumante Pas Dosé Classic Method

The straw yellow colour is made brilliant by the fine, persistent perlage. Fragrant nose of ripe yellow fruit, citrus fruits, acacia flowers and bread crust. Fresh and savoury on the palate, it enhances the taste for another sip.
