Today, Lungarotti is a concrete example of how the valorisation of a territory does not only depend on quality wine-growing, but also on the ability to build a virtuous circuit around wine, based on exceptional hospitality, the protection and valorisation of historical and cultural heritage, the defence of biodiversity and authentic experiences in contact with nature. Sustainability and culture strengthen its mission through the Lungarotti Foundation onlus with the MUVIT-Museum of Wine (1974) and the MOO-Museum of Olive and Oil (2000).

Wine Museum of Torgiano reviewed by the New York Times as “best in Italy” thanks to the quality of its art collections, for 46 years the MUVIT-Wine Museum of Torgiano has been a must-see destination for learning about and delving into the history of wine.

Certificações

The work done in the direction of sustainability since the early 1990s led to the organic certification of the Montefalco estate in 2014 and the V.I.V.A. certification for environmental sustainability in Torgiano in 2018.

Fresh white, straw-yellow with greenish reflections, fruity, with long, intense aromas with clear hints of citrus, white flowers and fresh fruit salad; dry, with good structure, it has a fragrant evolution with a delicate acidulous vein, and a long aftertaste.

After a short maceration at low temperatures, one third of the first-pressing must is fermented in barriques where it matures on the fine lees for 4-6 months; the remaining 2/3 are fermented in steel. After blending, the wine is bottled and aged in stainless steel.

Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio Torgiano Rosso Riserva D.O.C.G.

Elegant and solidly structured, deep ruby colour and complex bouquet reminiscent of morello cherry and blackberry, delicate hints of violet and light menthol notes and a spicy finish. Umbria's first DOCG.

Fermented in steel with maceration on the skins for 15-20 days, matured one year in barriques and refined several years in bottles. Due to its complexity, it is suitable for an average ageing of 30-35 years

Montefalco Sagrantino Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG

A red of great polyphenolic richness. Deep and intense purple red, with a complex bouquet of red fruits, morello cherry, currant and raspberry, and delicate notes of sweet tobacco and cocoa, and more herbs on the finish. The structure is dense, with rich tannin.

Fermentation in steel with maceration on the skins for 28 days. Maturation in barriques for 12 months. Light filtration and several years' bottle ageing before release.

A full-bodied, ruby red colour with bright violet tones, intense aroma with notes of cocoa and green spices, cloves and cinnamon, and more berries and plum jam on the finish.
