The grapes of Montefalco produce tannic and powerful wines: only a long period of ageing in wood and refinement in the bottle can moderate the tannicity, enhancing the elegance of this Riserva, which does not fear comparison with the world's greatest red wines.

Benozzo takes us back to the true tradition of the Umbrian people. Thanks to the use of advanced technologies, we obtain a great pleasantness that balances alcohol content and tannin. The result is a structured but easy-drinking wine with a broad floral, spicy and balsamic bouquet.

Sagrantino is a multifaceted grape, the richest in polyphenols, sugars and rough tannins that are difficult to tame. Careful processing of the grapes and a long period of refinement in the bottle allow us to offer a wine that is ready to drink, but with great evolutionary potential.

This is the Sagrantino of tradition, the wine of the Holy Mass; the one our grandparents made at home and jealously guarded until Easter lunch, when it was drunk with roast lamb. Excellent with dry desserts and dark chocolate, unforgettable with mature cheeses.
