The Olivata range is a unique heritage, the result of the work combined by nature and man over the centuries. A real cultural landscape, made of olive trees and villages of inestimable beauty: Assisi, Spello, Trevi, Foligno, Campello and Spoleto. A three-day itinerary to discover a foothill area, cultivated since the time of the Etruscans and strongly linked to San Francesco which made the olive tree the universal symbol of peace.

DAY 1

Arrival in Assisi, the Franciscan place par excellence, the obligatory visit is to the Basilicas of San Francesco which preserve the remains of the saint and the incredible works of Giotto. From the center of the village there is a path of about 10 km that reaches the Hermitage of the Carceri on the top of Mount Subasio, the Saint's place of meditation which offers a poignant view of the Umbrian valley. Continue to Spoleto, walk through the streets of the center, welcome dinner with typical products and overnight stay.

DAY 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Near Bovara, a hamlet of Trevi, there is one of the oldest olive trees in Italy, the olive tree of Sant'Emiliano. A majestic plant of 5 meters, with a knotty trunk of 9 meters in circumference of about 2000 years. Visit the village of Trevi and an ancient oil mill dating back to 1600 where you can admire the ancient millstone that was turned by the donkey and the old presses moved by man's strength. Lunch based on typical local products and oil tasting.In the afternoon return to Spoleto, walk through the streets of the historic center to admire the Duomo, the ancient buildings, the suggestive Ponte delle Torri and the Rocca di Albornoz which dominates the valley. Overnight.

DAY 3

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Departure for Spello, a charming village. Meeting with the guide for a special urban trekking route that will take you to admire breathtaking alleys, panoramic views, monumental works. Free lunch. Entrance to the Villa dei Mosaici one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in Umbria: 500 meters of Roman mosaics of rare beauty.
