The children will collect various types of leaves from the grove next to the farm. They will learn about the different shapes of leaves and trees in our area.

-learn to walk in the forest respecting it

-learn the parts that make up a tree and how they contribute to its life

-learn the different types of leaves and consequently the trees that populate our forests

-learn the life cycle of a tree from its birth to its transformation

-learn why a tree is important for man and the entire universe

-learn the causes of hibernation and which animals adopt this strategy to cope with winter

Description of the phases:

-identify the different parts of the tree and the different species-collect the different types of leaves present in the forest

-classify the leaves according to their characteristics

-using the same leaves to create works that allow the children to develop their creativity

Timing and tools of the topics

-welcome: introduction to the farm and presentation of the day's activities (15')

-Autumn: the tree shedding its leaves and hibernation (1h)

-harvesting the different types of leaves in the forest (2h)

-use of leaves for creative work by the children (2h)

What is included

Methods:

Children will be physically led into the forest to collect the different types of leaves needed for the activities to be carried out. Playful and manipulative activities will also be planned with what has been collected and selected.

Tools:

baskets for storing the leaves collected in the forest and teaching materials (blackboard, chalk, crayons)
